What Are The Causes?

Several factors can contribute to the compression of nerves:


  • Posture (especially while sitting or sleeping)
  • Repetitive motion injuries from work or sports Herniated discs in the spine
  • Arthritis or bone spurs
  • Trauma or injury
  • Obesity, which adds pressure to joints and nerves
  • Pregnancy, due to fluid retention and weight changes

Common Symptoms

The symptoms of a pinched nerve may vary depending on the location and severity of the compression, but here are the most common signs:


  • Sharp, aching, or burning pain Tingling sensations (“pins and needles”)
  • Muscle weakness in the affected area
  • A feeling that a foot or hand has “fallen asleep”
  • Pain that worsens with certain movements


These symptoms can come and go or persist continuously. If you notice them lasting for more than a few days, it’s time to seek help.

Outside the clinic, you’ll find her working out, playing badminton, volleyball, or tennis, and exploring new travel spots. She’s a big fan of Kitchen Nightmares, Friends, and 90 Day Fiancé.
