How Our Coordinated Approach Can Alleviate Chronic Pain

John Son • November 2, 2023

Chronic pain is a complex condition that can be debilitating, reducing the quality of life and making daily activities difficult. At Rosedale Wellness Centre, we understand the intricacies of chronic pain and utilize a coordinated approach for its management. Our expert physiotherapists and chiropractors work together with you to bring in relief, enhance mobility, and strive to improve your overall wellbeing.

Understanding Chronic Pain

Chronic pain refers to persistent pain that lasts for weeks, months, and sometimes even years. It is often a result of longstanding health conditions like arthritis, fibromyalgia, nerve damage or injuries. The constant discomfort can take a toll on an individual’s emotional and physical health, leading to fatigue, sleep disturbances, mood changes, and impaired movement.

Our Coordinated Care Approach

At Rosedale Wellness Centre, we believe that treating chronic pain requires more than a one-size-fits-all approach. Our care protocol is customized to each patient's specific needs and conditions, and employs a comprehensive, interdisciplinary strategy.

Assessment & Diagnosis

Our first step in managing chronic pain is a thorough evaluation to understand the origin of your pain, your medical history, and the impact it has on your life. We utilize state-of-the-art in-house diagnostic tools and expertise to pinpoint the causes of your chronic pain.

Personalised Treatment Plans

Based on our assessment, our teams of physiotherapists and chiropractors design a treatment plan that addresses your unique needs. We focus on the four cornerstones of health: Think well, Eat well, Align well, and Move well (T.E.A.M.). This methodology ensures holistic well-being, promoting physical health and mental wellness.

Therapeutic Services and Techniques

Our treatment techniques for chronic pain management include massage therapy, acupuncture, electrical stimulation, spinal manipulation, myofascial release, and more. Each method works in a unique way to relieve pain, improve flexibility, enhance strength and promote healing. For instance, acupuncture stimulates specific points on the body to release tension and improve energy flow, while massage therapy relaxes tense muscles and improves circulation.

Physical Rehabilitation & Movement Therapy

We also incorporate therapeutic exercises, ergonomic training and movement rehabilitation sessions to restore physical function, reduce pain and prevent recurrence. With our pilates studio and gym facility, we provide customised movement programs that not only aid in pain management, but also promote overall fitness and health.

Supportive Care

We understand that dealing with chronic pain can be emotionally challenging. Thus, our care extends beyond physical treatments, involving nutritional guidance, psychological support, and lifestyle changes.

Chronic Pain Does Not Have To Be Your Lifestyle

At Rosedale Wellness Centre, we strive to deliver impactful care that enables our patients to lead a healthy and pain-free life. We don't just focus on temporary relief but aim to tackle the root cause of your discomfort and foster long-lasting well-being.
